The Descent, Katoomba

This painting was inspired by a weekend spent hiking in the Blue Mountains. It captures the misty descent into the valley in the early morning, when we could only see a little way ahead, with ghost-like trees appearing through the mist. The ethereal beauty was magical!

It’s acrylic, charcoal, and pastel on a deep, stretched canvas. The painting is in a lovely ‘rescued timber’ frame and is ready to hang.
